Hello! This is the first post on the i3rbli blog, and we'd like to start at the beginning: why are we here?

Why i3rbli?

Arabic is a magnificent language, and its grammar — with iʿrāb at its heart — is the gateway to understanding it deeply. Yet many of us remember iʿrāb as a dry lesson: lists to memorize, case marks to recite, and one lingering question nobody answered: why? We believe the problem was never the grammar itself, but the way it is presented.

We started i3rbli to make learning and using Arabic an easy, straightforward journey — beginning today with generating iʿrāb automatically, and aspiring to build on it tools that explain, converse, and answer every "why?".

What are we building today?

We're currently working on our first product: i3rbli-chat — where you talk to the first model of its kind, trained to generate the iʿrāb of Arabic sentences: send a sentence and it comes back fully parsed, word by word — role and case mark. The beta is now live at beta-chat.i3rbli.com; you can read about it here.

Alongside the product, we offer research & consulting services for researchers and organizations working on anything related to Arabic and AI.

And the research?

i3rbli didn't begin as a business idea — it began as academic research on deep learning for Arabic text processing: segmentation and parsing, carried out by its founder at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. You can browse the research published by our team, a page that will keep growing.

What will you read here?

  • Approachable articles on Arabic grammar and its treasures — for learners and the curious.
  • Readings and reviews of recent research in Arabic natural language processing.
  • Behind-the-scenes notes: how we're building i3rbli and what we learn along the way.
Our goal is simple: that between you and the iʿrāb of any Arabic sentence stands… just one message.
